We are looking for a team of 6 fosters. Each approved applicant will receive a wire crate, an X pen, food, bedding, all harness/leash pieces, bowls, sweaters and/or coats.
2 Emergency Fosters:
Definition: Emergency fosters must be available to step in at the last minute – not always but be open to that request
1 ER Foster as below:
With no pets, no children, a flexible work schedule and experience with dogs in the past. We will ask you to list that experience on the foster application (i.e., with separation anxiety, leash reactivity). You must be located in a quiet neighbourhood. No elevators, busy streets.
This foster must have experience with rescue dogs
1 ER Foster as below:
With a submissive, gentle dog that can provide comfort and patterning for a rescue dog that is timid, skittish, anxious. This must be a quiet home, no small children, located in a quiet neighbourhood. No elevators, busy streets. This foster must have experience with dogs presenting this type of temperament
4 General Foster homes as below:
Have you had any experience with dogs at all, especially rescue dogs?
Do you have a flexible schedule?
Do you have a lifestyle and time to spend introducing your foster dog to your neighbourhood, general walks, general socialization?
If you have kids are, they 10 years or older?
Do you have any other pets? Please list what pets you have, and if listing dogs state their size, age and temperament.
