There would be no Thank Dog I Am Out without our hardworking leadership team, led by founder and director Susan Patterson.

Why I Started TDIAO:

That day in 2009, when I dared to reach my hand out into the dark and pull a tiny, abused, and terrified dog into my life, I knew my life had taken a dramatic turn. Starting with one dog, then two, then two a month, and on and on, we grew to where we are today…and continue to grow. With the dogs, came amazing people wanting to help.

Today with over 75 incredible volunteers with a passion for the value of a life, Thank Dog I Am Out’s mandate is to save as many dogs that live in our world at risk of being euthanized, abused, surrendered, abandoned, or neglected. I am surrounded by amazing people, and we plan on making a difference. Please join us.

Why I Got Involved with TDIAO:

Serving on the TDAIO Board offers me the opportunity to work with those who share a passion and dedication for helping dogs out of a desperate situation and into a caring, home environment. The experience and knowledge brought together with this group inspires me to make a commitment to a cause I believe in. The team work involved by a few, with even fewer resources has achieved impressive results in a short period of time. My hope is that this valuable work continues to grow and be successful and true to the mandate.

Why I Got Involved with TDIAO:

I love dogs. I believe that my life has always been made better by having a dog. Dogs expect very little. Dogs demand nothing. Dogs give love, loyalty and acceptance…. for that they deserve our help and protection.

Why I Got Involved with TDIAO:

Why would you not get involved with TDIO? Why would you not want to save the lives of as many dogs possible? Why would you not want to bring joy to people in providing an opportunity to adopt these dogs, to change lives for ever in the most incredible, magical, loving way that a dog can bring. TDIAO, thank you for giving me the opportunity to help, to make a difference in the life of those that have so selflessly given so much to us humans … dogs.

Suann Hosie

Suann Hosie

Director

Why I Got Involved with TDIAO:

Suann accepted a position on the Board of TDIAO because of her experience as a veterinarian.  She firmly believes that, for every responsible person who wants to share their life with a dog, there is a dog out there who needs that person.  And those dogs with the most need to be united with those responsible, caring people are too often euthanized without finding their life-long home.
